Looks like funnel cakes ... yummy!!
ReplyDeletehow to make coke even better....fry it!!! ;) Sweet blog...
ReplyDeleteYummy! Can I get the recipe for a fun family night coming up? Thanks...
ReplyDeleteDeep-Fried Coca Cola
ReplyDelete2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups Coca Cola
Oil for deep frying
powdered sugar or:
1 cup Coca Cola syrup
whipped cream
maraschino cherries
Mix together the flour and baking powder, add eggs and coke, stir til smooth.
Fry in oil, about 1/3-1/2 cup at a time, until rich golden brown, turning once. (about 1 min per side) Drain for a minute on a paper towel and place into coffee-filter cones and large coke glass- if wanted...
tips:
If the batter thickens as it sits add more coke. When frying I like to put the batter into a pitcher and pour, or a squeeze bottle (like ketchup)and move in a swift circular motion. Really it just makes a big crunchy blob...YUMM-O! I also double this recipe.
